His brothers are famous – and now he has become infamous.
As the Oasis reunion tour takes Britain by storm, a family member to the band leaders is facing prosecution in a high-profile criminal case.
It arises now that the older brother of Noel and Liam Gallagher has been charged with rape and a string of related violent sex offences.
Daily Mail reported:
“Paul Gallagher, from East Finchley in north London, is facing the charges following an investigation that began last year.
As well as rape, he is also accused of sexual assault, coercive control and making threats to kill. He is due to appear in court next month.”
While Noel and Liam are considered to be two of the greatest troublemakers in rock, apparently their older sibling is a much more complicated character.
The offences Paul is charged with date from between 2022 and 2024 and relate to just one woman.
“Paul, who at 59 is one year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam, grew up with the pair in Burnage, Manchester.”

He has worked as a DJ and photographer, always living under the shadow of his younger brothers.
Paul lives in a flat that Noel bought in 2004 and has worked as a DJ and photographer.
He has said that he tries to avoid public attention, and prefers to remain ‘invisible’.
“A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘Paul Gallagher, 59, of East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behavior, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022-2024. The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024’.”
