As first reported at The College Fix, a lecturer at Iowa State advanced an anti-capitalist agenda. The lecturer stated, among other things, that “capitalism is an oppressive system.”
This anti-capitalist lecturer peddled other lies and advocated for an “anti-capitalist budgeting approach”.
This radical left lecturer is a financial coach who advocates leftist radical theories. He is also identified as “a non-binary Filipinx writer, journalist, and financial coach” known for “their commitment to uplifting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ stories,” according to the event description.”
Aquino “advocated for an “anti-capitalist” budgeting approach that encourages people to reframe their relationship with money to prioritize well-being over profit, mainly benefiting queer and trans-identifying individuals.”
This is radical cultural Marxism at its worst.
The speaker continued his irrational and unhelpful theories by saying students should blame the system instead of themselves for failure. In other words, according to this lecturer, they should avoid personal responsibility.
Not only did this radical lecturer argue “[Capitalism] is an oppressive system profiting from our lack of financial literacy and interpersonal conflicts around money” even worse, he said that “capitalism necessitates racism, ableism, homophobia, colonialism, and other forms of oppression to perpetuate conflict.”
In other words, he blames all of societies woes on capitalism. This is called scapegoating and is never rational nor helpful for problem solving.
Not only is this lecturer a Marxist but a classical cultural Marxist. He engages in classic cultural Marxist behavior by advocating that “Queer and trans communities in particular benefit the most from anti-capitalist finance movements.”
Classic divide and conquer cultural marxism. He is clearly trying to pit people against one another.
The lecturer Aquino is also the founder of Queer and Trans Wealth, a financial coaching and education business “dedicated to increasing the financial literacy and economic empowerment of queer and trans communities,” according to its website.
Aquino has his own website where his personal writing is on display which includes wacky titles like “How to crowdfund your gender affirming surgery” as well as “How to share your pronouns” and other absurd and offensive themes.
