Some individuals are so narcissistic and devoid of basic human empathy that a special place in Hell should await them in the afterlife. Karmelo Anthony’s family qualifies, especially what happened at a press conference earlier today in Dallas.
As TGP readers know, 16-year-old track and football star Austin Metcalf was brutally stabbed to death earlier this month during a championship track meet at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
Metcalf, a junior at Frisco Memorial High School, was attacked in broad daylight by 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony of rival school Frisco Centennial around 10 a.m. after the youth became upset about being told he was in the wrong place. For some reason, Anthony decided to sit under Metcalf’s school tent before being asked to leave. Assuming this is true, can anyone blame Metcalf for confronting Anthony?
Police noted Anthony’s chilling final words to Metcalf before he finally stabbed the Frisco Memorial High School junior: “Touch me and see what happens.” Essentially, a death threat.
Anthony has since been charged with first-degree murder. But the race-baiting leftists have rallied behind him to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars, and a so-called judge lowered his bail to make it easier for him to walk free (which is precisely what happened).
The Anthony family is now capitalizing on their newfound wealth, but that is not stopping them from playing the victim card. As The Dallas Morning News reported, they held a press conference today at Next Generation Action Network (NGAN) headquarters to contest the facts of the case and portray their son as a victim. But Austin Metcalf’s loving father bravely showed up to remind them of the real victim: his son.
Unsurprisingly, the Anthony family took offense to this and refused to start the press conference until the Dallas police removed Metcalf’s father from the premises. Metcalf’s father was later escorted out of the building by Dallas police.
“Minister” Dominique Alexander, the president of NGAN and Anthony representative, then launched a sickening attack on Metcalf’s father for daring to inconvenience the Anthony family with his presence.
“On the father being at this press conference…It’s a disrespect to the dignity of his son,” Alexander said. “Next Generation Network, from the beginning, has respected the loss of life.”
“No matter our opinion…We have kept our opinion closed,” he added. “We have not attacked, we have not shared the information with us about Austin Metcalf because we respect the dignity of life.”

Alexander continued to rail against Metcalf’s father and also accused those accurately reporting on Anthony’s alleged crime of being “political operatives” focused on “hate, bigotry, and racism.”
“That was disrespectful and just shows you all about the character who was not invited,” Alexander stated. “He knows that it is inappropriate to be near this family, but he did it.”
“I say to people, actions speak louder than words,” he added. “What he has felled into is the political operatives that want to make this thing a political thing of hate, bigotry, and racism.”
“We have conservative operatives who have been posting nonstop about this case!”
