The country now knows why a crazed man tried to kill one of the most well-known Democratic officials in the country, and the truth will prove inconvenient to the corporate media and millions of leftists.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, 38-year-old Cody Balmer of Harrisburg was arrested following a Sunday morning arson attack on the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence. Security footage obtained by law enforcement shows Balmer breaking into the piano room on the south side of the residence, igniting the first fire, then moving to the dining room to ignite a second device.
The flames caused significant damage to the historic mansion, where Shapiro, his wife Lori, their four children, and extended family celebrated the Jewish Passover holiday just hours earlier.
Thankfully, Shapiro and his family were present in a different part of the residence and emerged unharmed.
According to a court document obtained by The Gateway Pundit, Balmer meticulously planned the assault. Upon turning himself in, Balmer confessed to harboring hatred toward Governor Shapiro and admitted that he intended to harm the governor with a hammer if confronted.
Now, the chilling reason why Balmer went to such great lengths to allegedly try to kill Shapiro and his family has been revealed. As ABC News reported, a search warrant signed by Pennsylvania State Police revealed that Balmer decided to blow up Shapiro’s official residence “based upon perceived injustices to the people of Palestine, and “what he (Shapiro) wants to do to the Palestinian people.”
Balmer reportedly did not elaborate on what he meant by his remarks. Still, it should not be lost that a pro-Hamas thug targeted arguably the most prominent Jewish state politician in the country over politics.
As TGP readers know, Jewish Americans have come under assault across America by pro-Hamas clowns ever since the Israel-Hamas war began back in October 2023.
The revelation regarding Balmer’s motives also put to rest any theories that a MAGA Republican was the culprit, as so many on the left were praying was the case. The truth is radical leftists not only have a monopoly on political violence across the country but also mental illness as well.
Balmer has been charged with multiple felonies, including attempted homicide, terrorism, aggravated arson, and burglary. He potentially faces life in prison if convicted.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi also released a statement vowing to help ensure Balmer never walks free again:
“It is absolutely horrific what happened to him,” Bondi said. “We have been praying for Josh, for his family. Those photos, it was horrible. I firmly believe that they wanted to kill him. The defendant allegedly said he was going to use a hammer if he could have gotten to the governor. I’ve known the governor many, many years.”
“It is horrible, and yes, we are working with state authorities to do — it’s now a pending investigation — anything we can to help convict the person that did this and keep them behind bars as long as possible,” she added.
