President Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan on Tuesday hinted that sanctuary city leaders who defy ICE and harbor or conceal illegal aliens from ICE detection will be arrested if they continue to obstruct the federal government.
Federal law 8 U.S. Code § 1324 carries penalties of prison time for anybody who “brings to or attempts to bring to,” “moves or attempts to transport or move,” “conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection.” Charges may be enhanced if the alien causes injury or death to another person.
“When they cross the line of harboring and concealing, that’s a felony, and we got Pam Bondi now, who won’t hesitate to take action,” Homan told The Gateway Pundit during a press gaggle at the White House.
The Gateway Pundit recently spoke to Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Central California Bill Essayli, and we asked him if this law was applicable to the Democratic leaders aiding and abbetting illegal aliens in their states. Essayli told The Gateway Pundit that his office will prosecute “anyone” who interferes with federal law enforcement’s deportation efforts, potentially including California politicians who are protecting illegal aliens.
“We would be willing to charge and prosecute them if they interfere in our investigation or in our ability to apprehend criminal illegal immigrants when we are acting within the law,” Essayli said.
This author asked Homan if he thinks officials should be prosecuted under this law. He smiled and told us, “Absolutely.”
“Hold tight on that one because it’s coming,” he continued. “You’re going to see a lot of things happen in the next few months that people should expect. Many don’t but watch what comes in the near future.”

Conradson: There are laws on the books that make it a criminal offense to shield or harbor illegal immigrants, like the sanctuary state and city leaders have been doing. Do you think they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and possibly put in prison?
Homan: Absolutely. And hold tight on that one because it’s coming. It’s coming. I’ve been clear on that since day one. Sanctuary cities can sit by and watch their communities get ravaged by illegal aliens. They can watch young women get raped and murdered. The Trump administration’s not going to stand for that. So, look, they can stand by and watch, and the Trump Administration will secure their communities. The Trump administration will drive down illegal alien crime in this country. If they don’t want to do it, we’ll do it for ’em.
They can sit aside and watch, but they can’t cross that line. When they cross the line of harboring and concealing, that’s a felony, and we got Pam Bondi now, who won’t hesitate to take action. They can’t impede in our enforcement efforts to make this country safe again; that’s a felony. President Trump’s got his cabinet in place now, we’ve got a strong AG, we’ve got a strong Secretary of Homeland Security, we’ve got a great group here. We’ve got, you know, Steve Miller, one most brilliant man I ever worked with when it comes to border security and interior enforcement. You’re going to see a lot of things happen in the next few months that people should expect. Many don’t but watch what comes in the near future.
