Trump took a shot at Rosie O’Donnell for recently moving to Ireland.
At one point a reporter asked Trump about the dead weight federal workers who have been fired.
On Tuesday, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon laid off nearly half of the department’s workers.
A reporter tried to guilt Trump for firing the federal workers.
“What responsibility do you feel to the civil servants who have now lost their jobs? Many of them worked at the Department of Education during your first term?” a reporter asked.
“Sure I feel badly, but many of them don’t work at all. Many of them never showed up to work. Many of them never showed up to work, Kelly — we want to cut the people that aren’t working,” Trump said.
