The Senate on Tuesday evening will vote to confirm Pam Bondi as the next US Attorney General around 7 pm ET.
The Senate voted 52-46 to invoke cloture on Monday evening which allowed for up to 30 hours of debate.
The Democrats gave back their time so the full Senate was able to vote Tuesday evening to confirm Pam Bondi.
Pam Bondi, Florida’s former Attorney General, vowed to keep politics out of the DOJ if confirmed during as she sat before the Senate Judiciary Committee last month.
“Politics has to be taken out of this system,” Pam Bondi told Senators. “This department has been weaponized for years and years and years, and it has to stop.”
Democrats tried to stall at the last minute but it didn’t work.
Since few watch CSPAN, I’ll spare you: liberal Democrats are on the floor calling @PamBondi names, and trying to delay her confirmation. It won’t matter. @LeaderJohnThune has made it clear we’ll vote tonight—confirming her as our 11th cabinet official.

The Senate voted 54-46 to confirm Pam Bondi as US Attorney General.
Democrat Senator John Fetterman went rogue and voted “YEA” to confirm Pam Bondi.
Like I said, @SenateDems stall tactics didn’t matter *at all.* @SenateGOP (plus @SenFettermanPA) just confirmed @PamBondi as your next AG. 54-46.
